The Reset Retreat: Increasing Your Equanimity - Cultivating Skills for Success and Wellbeing

with Spencer Sherman

The Reset Retreat is for anyone with clients, customers, or colleagues. Our diverse alumni include financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs, philanthropic advisors, therapists, coaches, technology specialists, and more.

You'll learn how to cultivate the qualities of mind and essential communication skills that lead to wellbeing and success at work, helping you get to the heart of your most important relationships.

Enjoy an overnight retreat experience in the breathtaking Marin Headlands on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, offering a space to unplug, be present, and rediscover the essence of you and your gifts. This is an amazing opportunity to cultivate your most valuable asset — your presence — and build a work life that's successful on your own terms.

Why Retreat?

I've been reflecting on what retreats have brought to my life and wanted to offer a few reasons of why I feel it's so important to continue offering these kinds of experiences.

If it's been awhile (or maybe you've never gifted yourself to a retreat), here are my top 10 reasons why I invite you to consider saying yes to a retreat like this, this year!

1. Retreats provide empty space.

In a world that is increasingly becoming full with information overload, quiet, empty space is becoming more and more valuable. it is a radical act to put the rest of the world on pause to turn inwards. To let go of the phone or the emails for a week to reconnect with your true source.

2. Be creatively inspired.

When we stop INPUTTING so much information (social media, news, cell phones, the internet) we begin to connect back to our innate wellspring of creativity. If you've been feeling stuck creatively or otherwise, retreats provide an opportunity to reconnect with an innate creative flow.

3. Connections with depth.

Retreats have connected me to unexpected collaborations, work opportunities, and meeting the exact people I needed to meet to grow into a new level of expansion and growth. However, something is different about the bonds formed at a retreat. The intentional space allows for people to go deeper than the normal day-to-day surface level of connections. Even as an introvert, I never felt overwhelmed at a retreat, because the depth of connection was so true, honest and intimate. Connection is something we all long for, and an intentional space like this provides the perfect environment to form deep bonds.

4. New experiences.

When I think back on my past year, sitting in a mineral springs bath over the Pacific Ocean to watch the sunrise was one of my most magical moments. One of those moments you remember at the end of your life. These are the kind of experiences we will be creating together.

5. Healing.

Being held in community with likeminded individuals is one of the most healing places to be. I unexpectedly healed all kinds of old stories and wounds I didn't even know I was still holding on to at the last retreat I attended. There's something so powerful about a safe container, where everyone is looking after you and supporting you to heal.

6. The food.

The food is just wonderful at Esalen and Green Gulch, some of it coming from the local farm, and think about what it would be like to have a WHOLE week with NO DISHES and no cooking :)

7. Deep rest.

Imagine falling asleep with the sound of the ocean. The warm air, a cool breeze. Time to wake up and journal in the morning...

8. Immersion in nature on new lands.

A focus of these retreats is to connect with nature. The elements. Back to our source. To tune into the whispers of the land and receive deeper insight and wisdom from the water, the earth and the energy of the land around us.

9. How you go back to your life can be completely different.

This is an opportunity to reset new patterns. Set new intentions. Let yourself return completely renewed.

10. Uplevel your mindset.

Giving yourself permission to gift yourself this kind of experience shifts old stories of "I can't" or "I don't have enough (time, money, resources, etc" into... "I have enough. I AM enough. I am worthy of this..." An act of generosity for yourself, or someone you love like this sets a new course in your relationship to yourself, your self-worth and how you wish to love and care for yourself this year.

Esalen and Green Gulch are iconic California coast retreat centers, surrounded by breathtaking beauty.  I've been to both of these places several times now, and having attended a lot of meditation/contemplative retreats in my life, can say these are of the highest quality...  These are both collaborations with friends/teachers I respect greatly and am honored to be assisting.

I hope you can join!

With love,

Meredith
